Stepped in as Engineering Manager for a team of 8 during a period of transition. Focused on improving processes, unblocking delivery, and mentoring engineers — the kind of work that's less about code and more about making sure the right conversations happen.

Paidia Logou

Built a custom LMS platform for a private school using Elixir and Phoenix LiveView. The focus was on real-time collaboration and interactive learning, with LLM integration for personalized guidance based on curriculum and student progress. A chance to work with a stack I'd been wanting to explore more deeply.

BuildingMinds GmbH

Joined as Frontend Architect, designing a micro-frontends architecture (Angular, Nx) that allowed multiple teams to ship independently. Built a component library, a dynamic forms system, and pushed through an Angular v12→v16 migration that boosted performance by 60%. Won a company hackathon with a customizable widget dashboard that actually made it to production.

Moved into a Chief of Staff role, partnering with the CTO on org-wide technical strategy and cross-departmental coordination. Eventually stepped into leading the engineering department — 8 cross-functional product teams plus a data analytics team. Introduced DORA metrics for delivery insights, built a career framework with clear growth paths, and mentored engineers moving into leadership.

Led frontend architecture for a large-scale media and content management system serving millions of readers. Built an in-house headless CMS with near-instant query times for archived content across multiple publications. Broke apart a monolith into event-driven Node.js services and introduced CI/CD pipelines with automated quality gates.

Coffee Circle

First technical hire — tasked with building a scalable frontend for the e-commerce platform. Created a custom server-side rendering solution and helped bridge the gap between design and engineering by mentoring graphic designers transitioning into UI/UX roles. Also contributed to the microservices architecture connecting the platform with POS systems and logistics.
